A Montenegrin basketball player was shot and killed late last night in a shootout in front of a casino in the town of Cetinje. Local media identified the man as 24-year-old Ljubomir Jovanovic. Basketball player shot dead in Montenegro Reports suggested that Jovanovic was caught in the crossfire and was not otherwise involved in the incident. He was reportedly in front of the casino when a masked armed robber attacked a worker inside the building. In the commotion that ensued, write Montenegrin media, Jovanovic was killed. The shooter is on the run and police are looking for him, Jovanovic was born in Podgorica, and played for the Lovcen basketball club and several others in the region before leaving for Greece last season.
