A 12-year-old child from a village near the Bosnian town of Doboj will soon give birth to a child of her own. Reports say that the girl, identified as Lj. S., lives with 24-year-old Dalibor Marinkovic from Karavlah, also near Doboj. Bosnia: 12-year-old to give birth The case was reported to the police by the girl's mother Mira Stankovic, 30, who also has seven other children. Police said they "conducted interviews" both with the girl and Marinkovic, "but could not talk them into ending their relationship". The 12-year-old and the man were quoted as saying that they live together with their parents' blessing, that they are happy, and can live without outside help. The girl's mother decided to drop the charges after the pair fled into a nearby forest upon learning that the case had been reported to the police. Police in Doboj said that Marinkovic did commit a crime when he entered a relationship with a minor, but that there was "no grounds for his arrest".
