A 3 magnitude earthquake occurred Sunday morning in the northern Aegean Sea; o injuries or damages have been reported. Seismologists say the quake's epicenter was about 140 kilometers southeast of Thessaloniki and 50 kilometers north of the island of Alonissos. Greece: Strong earthquake in Aegean The scientists from the University of Thessaloniki say there have been several aftershocks since the initial quake struck at 3:39 a.m. Sunday. The strongest had a magnitude of 4.4 and hit at 4:56 a.m. Greece lies in one of the world's most earthquake-prone regions and strong tremors are common.
