Part of Podgorica airport was evacuated last night following a reported bomb scare. According to media in Podgorica, an unidentified male called Jat Airways in Belgrade at about 2130 claiming that a bomb had been placed in a Jat plane that had already landed in Podgorica. Special police units arrived about a half hour later to secure Podgorica runway, while airport management informed passengers via the public address system that they had to leave the airport facilities for “technical reasons.” “The police have completed a thorough search of passengers, luggage and aircraft according to the established procedure and determined that there is no bomb,” said the airport’s Deputy Security Director Jovan Strugar.
