The Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) has decided to leave the Macedonian government. Party leader Manduh Thaci announced this after his meeting with the U.S. ambassador to Macedonia, Gillian Milanovich, Makfax reports. Macedonia: Albanian party leaves cabinet He said he would submit a proposal to formally leave government to the DPA presidency this evening. Thaci said the reason for this development is the fact Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Grueski "did not accept a list of six demands the DPA submitted to him". He did not specify the content of those demands. "What is happening is a lack of seriousness in the functioning of the state institutions in these very important and historic moments for Macedonia. I do not wish for my party to be a part of this," Thaci said. "The DPA will not go into different, extremist and radical waters," he was also quoted. As for the ongoing name dispute between Greece and Macedonia, Thaci advised Skopje "to listen to the U.S. and the EU".
