We are facing a disaster. Serbia, help

The Embassy of Ukraine in Belgrade announced that millions are facing the threat of a complete power outage, which could lead to a humanitarian disaster.

The embassy states in a public invitation that every generator and autotransformer, transformers and high-voltage equipment are important for Ukraine urgently, because as they say, tomorrow may be too late.

The announcement states that Ukraine receives help from all over the world in the form of generators, transformers and other equipment to stabilize the energy system, but that this help is not enough.

"Since October 10, Moscow has fired more than 1,000 missiles at the facilities of Ukraine's energy system. During two months of missile attacks, almost 50 percent of Ukraine's energy system (thermal and hydropower plants, as well as the high-voltage network) was significantly damaged. Not a single power plant remained in Ukraine which is not shelled," the embassy points out and indicates that because of this, the civilian population of Ukraine, including hospitals, schools and kindergartens, will face a lack of constant access to electricity, heat and water.

The embassy also reminds that Ukraine did not stand aside when Serbia had problems in the energy sector, as well as the decision of the Ukrainian government to hand over 100 tons of fuel oil to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in the form of humanitarian aid.
