Vučić: "I don't think there was any serious sabotage here"

At the beginning, he referred to the emergency meeting held this morning with members of the Serbian Government and heads of the energy sector, saying that he was "angry and they had long face", and added that short-term and long-term plans were discussed.

"Nothing is as simple and easy as it seems to people. We are fighting here not to change the price of gas or the price of electricity during the winter. And we will not change it. We are looking to give the best price," Vucic said.

He also talked about how much has been done regarding gas.

"We have done a lot and if we hadn't, we wouldn't have gas today, but electricity. Just wait and see what kind of collapse there will be in January and February, Serbia excluded." Vučić stated that 3.5 billion, not counting the gas pipeline, was invested only in the electricity sector, overhaul and reconstruction of everything, and added that he believed that the electric collapse in the country did not occur due to sabotage.

"I do not think it was sabotage, it simply happens, the authorities have led the investigation, let them do their job. It just happened - the irresponsibility of people's work, negligence and everything going wrong, one thing led to the other”, he told TV Pink.

Referring to the referendum, he said that if the referendum does not pass, we should count on losing a year - a year and a half in European integration, and he especially emphasized that "it has nothing to do with Kosovo or energy, but with our judiciary."

"This refers to the judiciary, so that it is independent of politics," President was clear and added that it was important to have professional judges and that politics should not interfere.

He also commented on the protests, saying that there are some protests every day, even tonight. "Does that mean that the state should not function? You all know that the elections are approaching, they all want to position themselves and do something. I knew that politics was behind that," he said.

He also pointed out that it was not difficult for him to go to Gornje Nedeljice and see if people were worried. "We have to agree with the people whether they want to go with this project or not," Vucic was clear.
