Serbian PM meets with US State Department official

According to the same source, "Yee and Brnabic noted that regular political dialogue with US officials contributes to the upward trend in bilateral relations."

They also "discussed the European path of Serbia and agreed that the European integration of the entire region is a key element of regional stability and development."

Brnabic said that EU membership is a foreign policy priority for Serbia, that our country will remain a reliable and credible EU partner, but that it is very important that all EU institutions have a constructive approach and that they are open and ready to admit new members.

She said she "hopes the United States will continue to support Serbia in this regard" and "stressed that Serbia's primary interest is to preserve the peace and stability of the Western Balkan region and that Serbia will continue to act constructively and insist on resolving all the controversial issues through dialogue."

Regarding Kosovo and Metohija, Brnabic "highlighted the importance of continuing the Brussels dialogue and the implementation of the agreements made, first and foremost the need to establish the Community of Serb Municipalities as soon as possible."

She "reiterated that Serbia is against Pristina’s unilateral moves, but that despite that, it remains committed to dialogue."

Brnabic and Yee "agreed that conditions for foreign invesments in Serbia have improved, which has also been seen from the reviews of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank on the progress in the field of stabilisation of the budget and the conditions for doing business," the Serbian government said on its website.

According to the same source - they also "spoke about the improvement of economic cooperation and agreed that there is room for its intensification, first and foremost in the fields of energy and mining."
