Serbian National Assembly president visits Turkey

Maja Gojkovic said in Ankara on Thursday she was confident Turkey and its people would overcome problems and continue to live in peace and democracy.

Serbian National Assembly president visits Turkey

In her capacity as president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, Gojkovic is in Ankara to acquaint herself with the situation in Turkey following an attempted coup.

She is visiting alongside officials of the European Parliament and the parliamentary assemblies of the Council of Europe, NATO, the Mediterranean, the Union for the Mediterranean, the Turkic-speaking countries, as well as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

They spoke with Parliament Speaker Ismail Karaman and PM Binali Yildirim, and were also scheduled to meet with FM Mevlut Cavusoglu.
