"European Union is incomplete without Serbia"

The European Union is incomplete without Serbia, Dittmann said, adding that Germany greatly appreciated Prime Minister Vucic’s personal efforts in the dialogue with Pristina and his willingness to foster regional cooperation, so vital to stability in the Western Balkans.

Vucic welcomed Dittmann "and expressed the hope that his cooperation with the Serbian government would produce good results that would benefit the growing political and economic ties between the two countries."

Vucic also expressed satisfaction about German Chancellor Angela Merkel visiting Serbia at the very beginning of the new ambassador’s term, which he saw as an expression of great mutual trust between the two countries, the Serbian government’s media relations office said.

Dittmann said he was looking forward to cooperating with the Serbian government and pledged to focus his diplomatic efforts on Serbia's progress on the European path.
