Vucic also "expressed hope that preventive measures to curb the migration crisis will be established through joint action."

Neither Serbia, nor Hungary is to blame for the situation that has emerged, but they must work on protecting their state territories in the process of the great migration of peoples that is underway globally, Ader said.

The two official discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, Serbia's EU integration process, cooperation in the energy sector and the project to reconstruct and modernize the rail line from Belgrade to Budapest, said a statement released by the Serbian government's press office.

With the meeting with the Hungarian president, Vucic began a one-day visit to Budapest, where he attended a joint sitting of the two countries' governments.
