Boris Tadic has said that he will not join the Serbian government, and that he has not discussed this possibility with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.

Tadic also leveled criticism at Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic "for hindering the government by his attempts to halt the EU integration process."“I rule out the possibility of entering the government under these circumstances, but it might be possible if the circumstances change,” Tadic said for Belgrade-based daily Vecernje novosti.
“All this time, I have been criticizing the government's foreign and economic policy and the way in which it takes democratic values, reforms, EU integration and political culture,” he said.
As for Kosovo and Metohija, the former president said that the minimum that should have been achieved in this respect was his “four-point plan”, which required full autonomy for the north, special status for churches and monasteries and guarantees for the security of our citizens and their property.
“This is not possible anymore. The Brussels agreement that this government has signed left open only the possible fight for certain competences in the Association of Serbian municipalities, though it is much more likely that the competences will resemble those of an NGO, he said.
Tadic noted that Nikolic won the elections promising that he will annul all that was agreed in the talks during the term of office of his predecessor, and that he will advocate a frozen conflict.
“By placing stress on the new platform, he is deceiving the public and hindering the government by his attempts to halt the EU integration process,” Tadic said.
