Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will continue the government formation consultations on the forming of the government on Monday. The president will meet with representatives of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS)-Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS)-United Serbia (JS) coalition in the presidency building at 10:00 CET. Nikolic, Socialists to confer on Monday Nikolic started the talks on formation of the government on June 4 with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS)-led coalition and two days later with the Democratic Party (DS)-led coalition. DS leader and candidate for prime minister Boris Tadic at the time informed Nikolic that the DS-led coalition was close to forming the parliamentary majority and that in a few days he will notify him once it was fully formed. SNS deputy leader and candidate for PM Jorgovanka Tabakovic said earlier that the SNS would not interrupt the ongoing government formation talks and would patiently wait for the SPS to end its talks with the Democrats. Nikolić started the talks on formation of the government on June 4 with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS)-led coalition and two days later with the Democratic Party (DS)-led coalition.

DS leader and candidate for prime minister Boris Tadić at the time informed Nikolić that the DS-led coalition was close to forming the parliamentary majority and that in a few days he will notify him once it was fully formed.
