SPS party leader Ivica Dacic believes that Boris Tadic should decide to call presidential elections along with parliamentary, local and provincial. We are waiting for the presidential elections and urging Boris Tadic to schedule them without delay, the interior minister and one of deputy prime ministers in the current government said late on Monday. Dacic warns Tadic about presidential elections Dacic's Socialist, the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS) and United Serbia (JS) signed on Monday a coalition agreement ahead of the parliamentary elections which will be announced on Tuesday. At a news conference after signing the agreement, which was also attended by PUPS and JS leaders Jovan Krkobabic and Dragan Markovic, Dacic said that if Tadic and opposition SNS party leader Tomislav Nikolic decide that they want to enter the presidential race - "they will have a worthy opponent". If presidential elections are called, the SPS-PUPS-JS coalition will have a presidential candidate, Dacic said. "We can't wait for for the presidential election, but we are warning Boris Tadic - no calculations, call them right away, and submit your resignation," he stated. He accused the country's two most popular parties - the opposition SNS and the ruling DS - of wishing to create "a dualism in Serbia and slice it up between themselves like a cake". "Let's not have Tadic say that he is resigning as late as in April, because he must be aware that (presidential) elections are called by Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, and she can do that within the 30 to 90 days deadline," Dacic said of the top SPS official who also serves as Serbian parliament speaker. "I believe that regular presidential elections should be held, but if they want early voting, then they should say so. Serbia is much bigger than those two," he said of Tadic and Nikolic. Previously, Dragan Markovic told a meeting of his party's main board that the coalition's candidate for president would be Ivica Dacic. Parliamentary and local elections will be called in Serbia today. Tadic's second, five-year mandate as president expires in late 2012. It is still unclear whether the presidential ballot will be held along with elections on other levels. Ivica Dacic (Beta) Tanjug
