Democratic Party (DS) deputy leader Dragan Sutanovac rejected Wednesday the possibility of an election coalition with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). “The DS will seek partners among the parties with similar programs,” he said. "SNS will never be partner for Democrats" Sutanovac, who is also defense minister, told B92 that DS would seek partners among political parties that have similar policies to that of DS on Serbia's future. “SNS is not and will never be our partner,” said the defense minister. He denied Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic’s allegations that the DS and SNS would be the first to discuss a coalition after the elections and that it had been the case four years ago. “That’s a total parody, I really have no comment and I think that the fight for votes is becoming banal and if someone thinks now that they will this way lower DS’ ratings, they are simply wrong,” Sutanovac pointed out. “The problem is simply the fact that we did not inform the public in a right a way in the moment when the circumstance in which we live changed, not only us but the entire world, and we have to change the way we are trying to get to a better life,” he explained. “One of the biggest mistakes is that we did not say when the economic crisis started in late 2008 that things were changing dramatically and that we were fighting for survival not for progress,” Sutanovac pointed out.
