The decision to start the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue with issues which would be the easiest to reach an agreement on was wise, German Ambassador to Serbia said. German Ambassador Wolfram Maas said, in a statement for the daily Danas, on Saturday that it would be good to start the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue as soon as possible. "Start dialogue with light-weight issues" “I evaluate every agreement reached by Serbia and the European Union to that end rather positively. Establishing trust between the sides will be decisive for the talks. Nothing would help more to reach that goal than to produce results that will make peoples' lives easier as soon as possible. That is why it is a wise decision to begin with focusing on issues on which an agreement would be easy to reach”, Maas said. The German ambassador expressed hope that Belgrade's possible insistance on status talks would not slow down the opening and course of the dialogue.
