No agreement on Bosniak National Council

The meeting of the three Bosniak lists' representatives, called by Serbian Minister for Human and Minority Rights Svetozar Ciplic, ended without an agreement. The Friday meeting which discussed the beginning of the work of the Bosniak National Council ended without an agreement, Tanjug learned from Mevlud Dudic, a representative of the Bosniak cultural community. No agreement on Bosniak National Council The meeting was also proposed by Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Dimitrios Kypreos. At the meeting, the Bosniak List was represented by Esad Dzudzevic, while the Bosniak Rennaaissance's representative was Seadetin Mujezinovic. The ministry announced earlier that the purpose of the meeting was ensuring that the National Council of Bosniaks began to operate in accordance with the results of the elections held on June 6. After the elections for national minority councils in Serbia, only the Bosniak national community did not form a council. A total of three lists participated in the elections for the National Council of Bosniaks, namely, the Bosniak Cultural Community, winning most mandates - 17, followed by the Bosniak List - 13, and the Bosniak Renaissance - five. The Bosniak List and the Bosniak Renaissance boycotted the inaugural session scheduled for July 7, and the Bosniak Cultural Community, led by Mufti Muamer Zukorlic, formed a council with the support of two Bosniak Renaissance councilors. The Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, however, does not recognize such a council.
