Serbian opposition SNS party leader Tomislav Nikolic said that after 15 years, the international community has not been able to make a country out of Bosnia. “Today, just like in 1995, there are two separate entities, I even think that the division is a lot deeper now, when there is no threat of war,” Nikolic said. Opposition leader: Bosnia never became state He told Banja Luka daily Nezavisne Novine that the Serb republic, RS, according to the Dayton Agreement, has the right to its autonomy and its own opinion that cannot be out-voted. He said that RS has the right to think about whether it belongs in a united country or not, if the Serbs in Bosnia-Herzegovina are out-voted by the other two groups of people. “At this time, RS has no reason to have suspicions regarding the good intentions of the international community, for the entity to be respected with all its rights in Bosnia-Herzegovina. But if threats arise, that are already heard from people who deal with politics outside of Bosnia, that RS would be out-voted in Bosnia, then it (RS) has a completely different path ahead of itself,” Nikolic said. Commenting on cooperation between the Serbian and RS governments, the SNS leader said that the signing of the Istanbul declaration means that Belgrade does not recognize the RS institutions. “Boris Tadic took it upon himself to get involved in the relations of other countries and to solve something in Bosnia, citing the Dayton. I was a witness to the RS being tricked when it had representatives at such conferences, and naturally it will be tricked when it did not have any representatives present,” he said. Nikolic said that the declaration for condemning the Srebrenica crimes was passed in the Serbian parliament due to pressure, adding that its adoption was conditioned by removing all other crimes but Srebrenica from the resolution. “The declaration was supposed to look completely different, and was supposed to condemn all crimes, against Serbs and crimes committed by Serbs, with special attention being paid to Srebrenica, which was not a problem for me,” Nikolic said.
