Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic today started his two-day visit to the People's Republic of China, it has been announced. In Beijing, he met with his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi and other senior officials. Jeremic: China reaffirms support Jeremic said after the meetings that China had reaffirmed its continued support for Serbia. “We've had extensive talks on Kosovo, in order to synchronize our actions in the international arena, and above all at the UN,” said the foreign minister. “But this also applies to all other organizations where the secessionist authorities in Pristina might attempt to go for membership, which represents an exclusive privilege of sovereign states,” Jeremic was quoted as saying. According to a statement from from the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs earlier today, Jeremic will also attend the official opening of EXPO 2010 in Shanghai.
