Serbian Army (VS) Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Miloje Miletic said that Serbia is carefully choosing its cooperation with the NATO Partnership for Peace. He told daily Politika that improving cooperation needs technical solutions first for new political decisions. “Serbia carefully choosing PfP cooperation” “Firstly, I mean full implementation of the agreement for security information and implementing the Serbian mission to NATO,” he said. "This will create the conditions for effective access to information needed for achieving partnership goals and standards, and full cooperation within the program,” Miletic said. Speaking on cooperation with KFOR, he said that it is on-going, with the preservation of stability and security in the zone of the administrative line being stressed. “In 2009 alone, we had about 200 meetings and about 400 joint patrols,” he said. Miletic said that the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) was not noticed at the administrative line, but that Kosovo police forces are there, reminding that according to the agreements, they can only be present with KFOR forces, not EULEX. “Sometimes it happens that they appear by themselves, which violates the agreements and can be a potential cause of instability at the administrative line,” Miletic said. He said that the professionalization of the military is being planned dynamically and that there is no reason for it to not be completed on schedule. Miletic said that the military will keep certain training center for those who want to volunteer. “We are counting on people who will serve voluntarily to contact us, after which they will be recruited into our professional formation,” Miletic said.
