The UK Defense Ministry has announced that British troops will be pulling out of Kosovo, according to Slovenian media. During the next six months, the bulk of the British contingent, 167 people, will leave Kosovo. According to the UK Defense Ministry, the decision was made because the situation in Kosovo has changed, above all in terms of improvements in the security situation. UK troops to pull out of Kosovo “Key moments, connected with Kosovo’s independence declaration, have passed without serious incident; the security situation in Kosovo is generally peaceful,” announced the UK ministry.
