Russia’s ambassador to NATO Dmitri Rogozin says that Kosovo independence would lead to chaos throughout the world. Rogozin said today that if Kosovo was granted independence, this would open a Pandora's Box and open the door to chaos firstly in Europe and then in other parts of the world, warning that this would create great problems for Russia in particular. "Kosovo independence would lead to chaos" “Although the Russian political leadership has thus far refused to recognize the independence of Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria, even sceptics would be hard pushed to oppose to the independence of these autonomous regions in the event of Kosovo becoming an independent territory,” Rogozin explained in an interview with Russian TV Vesti. He added that Georgia, which Abkhazia and South Ossetia have seceded from, did not meet the conditions for the Alliance's membership, since, as Rogozin put it, it was not independent economically, had a divided territory and had not overcome the aftermath of its civil war.
