The Securities Commission and Bulgarian Financial Supervision Commission signed a memorandum of understanding. The document, signed in Sofia Friday, aims to regulate and further cooperation between the two countries' financial markets. Serbia, Bulgaria financial market cooperation The memorandum was signed by heads of their corresponding institutions, Milko Stimac and Apostol Apostolov, a statement issued after the event said. The memorandum means that the regulating financial market institutions in Serbia and Bulgaria have established official cooperation, set to enable for the market expansion and a higher degree of safety for investment company clients. The two institutions will now work to prevent financial crime, such as money laundering. The Securities Commission has so far signed similar documents with Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, Romanian and Greek counterparts.
