Former Roads of Serbia public company Director Branko Jocic was arrested around 9 CET today in his apartment for giving and accepting bribes, B92 has learned. Jocic and his accomplices were arrested under suspicion of accepting and receiving bribes in 2006. By doing so the suspects incurred RSD 43mn worth of damages to the public company. Ex-public company head arrested Aside from Jocic, his girlfriend Marija Bozic, his mother Radmila Jocic and Rotijer company owner Dragan Pavlovic are also being questioned. Former Roads of Serbia director's adviser and coordinator for the realization of a project financed by the Council of Europe Development Bank Predrag Todosic was also arrested. Jocic made a deal with Pavlovic to let his firm repair a landslide in the town of Krupanj near Loznica. The Roads of Serbia director asked for an apartment in Loznica in return and got a 63-square-meter apartment worth EUR 40,000. The Special Prosecution for Organized Crime is in charge of the case. Jocic was sentenced to two years in prison for counterfeiting official identification documents by the First Municipal Court in Belgrade on January 20. Branko Jocic (FoNet, file)
