UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says the Hague Tribunal needs a few more years to complete its work. He added that the issue should be reviewed if and when the two remaining fugitives, Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic, have been caught. UN sec.-gen.: Hague needs more time Ban said that there is a broad consensus that the Hague needs to keep going until around 2013, even though the court is supposed to start winding down its activities at the end of 2010. According to Ban, if and when the two remaining fugitives have been caught, the tribunal will have to adapt or pass the cases on to other courts, which has already been discussed by the court and UN Security Council representatives. The tribunal has completed more than 120 cases so far, while tens of trials and appeals are still ongoing.
