St. Marco’s Church in Belgrade held a wake today for Serbs who died during the Croatian Army’s attack on the Medak Pocket and Gospic 16 years ago. The wake was organized by the Association of the Families of Dead and Missing Persons in Croatia. Wake held for Medak Pocket victims According to figures from the Veritas Documentation Center, 88 Serbs, the majority women and children, died in the attack on the region, which had been under UN control. A number of elderly people also went missing during the attack, presumed dead. The operation was led by Croatian Generals Rahim Ademi and Mirko Norac, while former Kosovo Prime Minister Agim Ceku also played a major part in the attack. Today's service (FoNet)
