Serbia's War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic says "the headline to an interview" he recently gave to the Washington Post is misleading. The newspaper printed the interview on July 28 under the heading, "Serbian officials say Mladic is 'within reach'". Prosecutor denies "Washington Post headline" This creates an illusion that it is known where Hague fugitive Ratko Mladic is, which causes damage to the implementation of the Action Plan, the War Crimes Prosecution said in a statement issued in Belgrade today. The statement further specifies that Vukcevic told the daily's reporter on July 16 the following: "He is somewhere within reach. I still cannot precisely locate his whereabouts, but it is clear that Mladic was in Serbia. I am absolutely an optimist that we are nearing the end of this action, that it must be done by the end of this year."
