Kosovo's interior ministry has decided to step up security measures outside structures housing international institutions, it was announced in Pristina. This comes following an attack last week on the International Civilian Office (ICO), when an explosive devise was thrown in its yard. ICO probe continues, security raised Interior Minister Zenun Pajaziti said police are conducting an intensive investigation into the bomb attack on the ICO building, but are also considering possibilities for stepping up the security measures of the locally based international missions. KPS have begun the investigation and they are assisted by experts of the international police and the local peacekeeping force KFOR, it was reported. An unknown perpetrator threw a device containing between 100 and 200 grams of TNT into the courtyard of the ICO, an office run by EU special envoy Pieter Feith, on Nov. 14, Pristina media said. The investigation into this incident is made difficult due to the circumstances that the building's security cameras do not cover the street next to the offices, from where the explosive device is suspected to have been thrown, the reports said. Security measures have been stepped up following this incident, the Pristina media said.
