Ljubovija-Bratunac bridge construction begins

The construction of a Ljubovija-Bratunac bridge across the Drina River on the border between Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina began on Tuesday.

Ljubovija-Bratunac bridge construction begins

The works on the 227-meter bridge and an access road leading to it should be completed by September 2017.

The total value of the works, funded by the governments of Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Serb Republic (RS), is about EUR 12 million, and Serbia’s contribution is around EUR 4.5 million.

A border crossing will be built on a plateau upon exit from the bridge roadway.

The ceremony marking the beginning of the construction works was also attended by Serbian Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and RS Transport and Communications Minister Nedjo Trninic.
