The brother of late former Serbian and Yugoslav President Slobodan Milošević, Borislav Milošević, has taken a job with Russian Railways.

The brother of late former Serbian and Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, Borislav Milosevic, has taken a job with Russian Railways. He has been named advisor of the General Director of Zarubezhstroy Technology, Belgrade-based newspapers write on Wednesday. Milosevic's brother new advisor at Russian Railways The daughter company of Russian Railways, whose general director Milosevic is to advise, will be directly in charge of implementing the Russian loan worth USD 800mn, expected to be given to Serbian Railways in the next couple of months. Milosevic served as Serbia's ambassador in Moscow and is fluent in Russian. He is "highly respected in that country, where he has worked as a consultant in several companies for the past couple of years", said reports. In March, the Russian State Trade-Economic University in Moscow awarded him an honorary doctorate. He is still a Serbian citizen, even though he has been offered Russian citizenship in the past years. Milosevic told Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti that he was "aware that his job would not be easy", but that he was satisfied if he could contribute for the Russian loan to be carried out in the planed deadlines, and for the planned railway facilities to be built and Serbian railways overhauled. Milosevic began his diplomatic career back in the 1970s in Moscow. He also accompanied former Yugoslav President Josip Broz on many international meetings, according to reports. Milosevic was the Yugoslav ambassador in Algiers, and following the breakup of Yugoslavia he was appointed as Belgrade's top diplomatic envoy in Russia.
