NIS to get new auditor within 30 days

Energy and Mining Minister of Energy Petar Skundric says he expects that a new auditor for NIS will be selected within 30 days. The auditor will carry out the supervision of the oil company's annual financial report for 2008. NIS to get new auditor within 30 days "I expect that the appointment will be done urgently, considering the forthcoming deadlines, and I expect that to happen in the next 30 days, pursuant to the law," Skundric said after a cabinet session, at which the government decided to form a committee tasked with selecting the auditor. The supervision should be completed by September 30, in order to find out whether NIS had a RSD 2.3bn profit, or a RSD 8bn loss, as was shown in the report of the KPMG auditing company, hired by Russian Gazprom, the new owner of NIS.
