Dinar recovers after five day slump

The Serbian dinar (RSD) has gained 0.3 percent against the euro (EUR) this Tuesday.

The Serbian dinar (RSD) has gained 0.3 percent against the euro (EUR) this Tuesday. The domestic currency strengthened in the inter-banking hard currency market without any intervention from the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), it was announced. Dinar recovers after five day slump The official exchange rate today is RSD 94.6013 for one euro. This comes after five consecutive days in which the dinar was losing its value. The central bank sought to stabilize the exchange rate by selling its foreign currency reserves – EUR 556.4mn since the start of this year. In February alone, that figure was at EUR 175.1mn. In 2009, the Serbian currency hit its lowest mark on January 28, when one euro was worth RSD 96.3388, while it was the strongest on January 5, with the exchange rate of RSD 89.5436.

This comes after five consecutive days in which the dinar was losing its value.
