The government has proposed that Gazprom commit to investing a further EUR 700mn in the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS), daily Blic reports. According to the latest correspondence sent on Saturday, the government has offered to sell a further 19 percent holding in NIS, states Blic. "Russia should increase NIS investment" The Russians are likely to give their answer during today’s visit of Gazprom adviser Dmitry Malishev to Belgrade. “We’re very satisfied with the results of the talks so far,“ State Secretary in the Energy and Mining Ministry Dusan Mrakic told the daily. The focus of the talks will be the capacities of the South Stream pipeline that is due to pass through Serbia, with Mrakic insisting that its capacity will be twice the volume stipulated in the agreement.
