Vučić in the Braća Kravić distillery

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, as part of today's visit to the North Banat District, also visited the "Braća Kravić" distillery in the municipality of Kanjiža.

The President of the Provincial Government Maja Gojković, Ministers Aleksandar Martinović and Adrijana Mesarović were also on the tour of the distillery.

Vučić was welcomed by the owner of the distillery, Miloš Kravić, whom the president congratulated on his birthday and gave him a cake. The Kravić brothers produce domestic natural brandies, of which apricot, pear and quince brandies stand out, which have received more than 300 international awards and recognitions.

During the tour, Kravić showed the president how they make brandy and said that they keep the "old" way of production, i.e. without yeasts, enzymes and "without additives".

As he said, the production process for apricot takes 25 days, while for other brandies it takes seven to ten days. Vučić stated that trade with China without any customs duty requires nine more years for brandy, and four more years for wine.

"That's our big chance, you know. In five to ten years, it will be a lifesaver for the wine industry," he said. Vučić pointed out that China will no longer buy in such a way, that is, with customs, stressing that it is a very demanding market, but that it will be the only salvation for us.

Within the distillery there is an ethnic house from the beginning of the 20th century, which serves to enrich the ambience and complete the tasting of brandy produced by this distillery.

Vučić previously visited the agricultural farm of Saša Pustinjak in Novi Kneževac, and he began his visit to the North Banat district by talking with citizens in Čoka.

Vučić: "We provide support to honey producers to improve production"

President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, visited the agricultural farm of Saša Pustinjak in Novi Kneževac during his visit to the North Banat District.

"Thank you Saša for your hospitality. I am glad to see hard-working hosts who have been engaged in honey production seriously and responsibly for 20 years. The state is trying to help as much as it can through subsidies at the national and provincial level. In this way, we provide support to honey producers to improve production, lower costs and provide the best equipment so that they can look forward to the future with greater certainty. The state will additionally work on introducing stricter and more frequent honey quality controls," wrote Vučić.

"I'm happy to be in northern Banat today. Our goal is to listen to people's problems and try to solve them. To help businessmen and farmers, to try to bring investments to this region and thus help the development of this district and keep people so that they don't leave in search of work," wrote Vučić.
