Speaking on TV Pink, Vučić was asked whether he was also addressing some of his former coalition partners. He replied that he was reaching out to both former coalition partners and “those who believe they will become coalition partners.”

“I am addressing some of my former coalition partners, as well as those who believe they will be future coalition partners. Above all, I will seek to form a government made up of efficient people—quick, decisive, courageous, effective and hardworking,” Vučić said.

He also said he believed that, following the elections, his political opponents would argue among themselves over whether to accept their parliamentary seats.

“They will convince themselves that if they refuse to take their seats, there will be no parliamentary session and we will have to hold new elections. They will fantasize, dream and talk about all sorts of nonsense. Then you will see how many of their 90 or 100 representatives, depending on how many others drop out, will take part in forming a new Democratic Party, how many will join Djokić in a new party, how many will join someone else in yet another political party, and so on.

“I am telling you all this in advance. It is not particularly difficult to work out. Just wait and see the chaos that will ensue. That is why it is important for us to have an absolute majority,” Vučić said.

Asked whether he had suitable people around him to form a government of efficient individuals, given speculation in some sections of the public that only Siniša Mali and Ana Brnabić were participating in pre-election debates on behalf of the “United Serbia” electoral list, Vučić said that other figures had also regularly taken part in the campaign. He named Marina Raguš, Milenko Jovanov, Miloš Vučević, Zlatibor Lončar and Vladimir Djukanović.

“We did not have 150 television programmes; we had six people participating in those campaigns. Elek and Igor Simić also took part. That makes ten people I have just named. But how many can you name from their side? You can name Šoškić, while they are keeping Srdanović out of sight. The man has not appeared even once. He cannot appear anywhere because they are ashamed of him. How can they represent the country if they are ashamed to come forward and explain what they want to do?” Vučić asked.
