RIK adopts resolutions on the allocation of Parliamentary seats
The Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) today adopted a resolution allocating parliamentary seats to MPs elected to the new convocation of the Serbian National Assembly in the snap elections held on 25 October.
According to the final election results, the "Student List – Students Are Winning" was allocated 140 seats in the National Assembly, while the "Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia" list received 103 seats.
A further seven MPs representing national minority lists will enter Parliament.
The "Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians – Dr Balint Pastor" list and the "Albanian Coalition" each won two seats, while the following lists will each have one MP:
- "Rasim Ljajić – People's (SDP–CDP)"
- "SDA Sandžak – Guardians of Sandžak"
- "Usame Zukorlić (SPP) – Movement for Unification", which secured its seat following the repeat voting held at 53 polling stations.
The RIK will issue certificates confirming the election of the successful candidates as members of Parliament.
All the remaining electoral lists, out of the 18 that contested the elections, failed to secure any parliamentary seats.
As announced, the RIK is expected to hold a session shortly to adopt the report on the conduct of the elections.
The new Parliament must be constituted within 30 days of the announcement of the final election results.
