Natasha Bertaud, spokesperson of the president of the European Commission (EC), said this on Thursday.

Speaking at a press conference in Brussels, she said that under the EC's 17-point plan, adopted at last week's mini summit of 13 nations, the Western Balkan countries should boost their capacities to receive migrants to a total of 50,000, but that this does not mean that they will remain there permanently.

What this is about is just giving them shelter from cold, rain and unhygienic conditions, Bertaud said.
