The Republic of Srpska (RS) will not give up on its request to have four ministries in the Bosnia-Herzegovina's Council of Ministers. This was announced by RS president Milorad Dodik, who also specified that one of those ministries would be the Ministry of the Interior. Dodik: RS insists on four ministries in Bosnia council The RS president and Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) leader has confirmed that he will take part in the so-called Mostar Talks, that will be held at the initiative of two Croat Democratic Unions (HDZ), where parties from the RS and Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina should reach an agreement on forming of the Council of Ministers. Commenting on the work of joint institutions in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Dodik said that he would in the future insist on reaching an agreement with the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina on each issue that would be on the joint institutions' agenda, as envisaged by the Dayton Accords and Bosnia-Herzegovina's Constitution. He explained that the Serb entity was already preparing to submit an agreement on the issues of state aid, regulations, changes to the Constitution referring to the Strasbourg court ruling that should allow representatives of other ethnicities to run for the highest positions in the country. Only Serb, Croat and Bosniak representatives could run for the highest positions in Bosnia-Herzegovina until now. The RS president once again presented indicators that showed that the RS was economically and financially stable and that noted plans to build hydroelectric and thermal power plants, highways, airports, announcing at the same time energy sector reforms. Dodik said the RS citizens should not be concerned, as all financial obligations from the budget were being paid on time. The president rejected opposition parties' allegations that the government was "sugarcoating the reality in the RS“.
