FM Vuk Jeremic says that Serbia had developed a strategy for its dialogue with Pristina, which, he said, is still not ready to start the dialogue with Belgrade. “So it seems according to the information we receive from our partners in the international community. Although we believe that it would be better for all of us to start the talks as soon as possible, we will be patient,” Jeremic said in an interview published by Blic today. "Pristina not ready for dialogue" As far as Belgrade is concerned, Jeremic said that a strategy for the talks on all issues had been developed in keeping with the state policy of Serbia and that experts in a given field, instead of officials, will conduct the talks. "We believe that the dialogue should start with topics that are the least burdened with political disagreements, such as the fate of the missing persons, traffic or communications," said Jeremic. “A number of problems that we will try to solve have in its root the fact that Belgrade and Pristina look at the future status of the province in a completely different way. It will not be possible to solve them without discussing them. But, this fact should not be abused for internal political purposes. We sincerely want to reach compromise instead of freezing the conflict deeper,” said Minister Jeremic. He also noted that he did not expect Serbia and Croatia would withdraw their mutual genocide lawsuits any time soon, since public statements given by Croatian officials suggested that there was no unanimous stand on this issue in that country.
