NIS Representatives of the B92 Fund and donors in the Battle for Maternity Wards campaign visited today Gynecology and Obstretics Clinic in Nis. They delivered four new incubators and one lamp for phototherapy to the health institution. Clinic in southern city gets new medical equipment Three new incubators for the care of the youngest and the bravest fighters from this region was donated by Yura Corporation, while one incubator was provided by the joint donation of the Citizen Association The Art of Giving and Palilula Municipality, whereas phototherapy lamp was provided by KBC Bank. Gynecology and Obstretics Clinic Director Zoran Pop Trajkovic thanked all present donors on their energy and financial means that they invested in helping babies all over Serbia, wishing them furter success, as well as success of the Battle for Maternity Wards campaign. After today’s delivery, total number of delivered incubators to the Nis Clinical Center reached eight, which is still not sufficient for the needs of this institution, given its significance and the number of babies that fight for their lives in Nis. “We have to continue with this battle, and make additional efforts in order to secure necessary conditions for the newborns in Nis and in the south of Serbia on the whole. Nis, as a regional center that covers very large territory, needs additional medical equipment, such as neonatal ventilators, reanimation tables, monitors for vital signs monitoring, infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, lamps for phototherapy, portable ultrasound machine, mobile RTG machine, neonatal aspirators, transcutaneous bilirubinometer, movable incubator, ambulance, gas analyzer, analyzer of coagulation status, so we call on all the companies and individuals who are in a position to do that to help on the local level this battle for their own maternity ward, in which the babies of their relatives, employees and friends are born,“ B92 Fund Board of Directors President Veran Matic said. “I hope that with today’s delivery we will encourage potential donors from this region to join this battle“, he concluded.
