Charges may be pressed against Kurir

BELGRADE -- The Third Municipal Public Prosecutor’s Office is looking into pressing charges against daily Kurir.

The prosecution has announced that it will meet with Kurir’s Editor-In-Chief Antonije Kovačević, in response to the articles “Ustaša Cove” and “Vojvodina to the Croatians,” which attacked Deputy Prime Minister Ivana Dulić-Marković and her family.

According to a statement from the prosecution, the Belgrade police will make immediate checks “for determining any possibilities of confirming a crime related to rights and equality and causing panic and disorder.”

“In this process an interrogation with the Editor-in-Chief of the daily Antonije Kovačević will be conducted, because the articles in question are signed with the byline of the collective Kurir staff” the statement reads.
