Chairman of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic has stated that he "definitely will not attend the inauguration of "Tomislav Nikolic". The reason, said Izetbegovic, was that the Serbian president's "first statements do give rise to optimism". Bosnian presidency chair won't attend Nikolic's inauguration "In the previous period, President Nikolic has changed his rhetoric, but in his statements about Srebrenica and Vukovar, and the Montenegrin nation, he reminded us about the dark side of his political operation. Anyway, we want to see whether he has truly changed his positions, and this will take time," Izetbegovic said. He said for Turkish news agency Anadolu Ajansi that Serbia and Bosnia were neighbors that should keep making true steps towards reconciliation. "If President Nikolic is ready to make true steps towards reconciliation, we are ready as well. We will wait to see whether President Nikolic has a new political face and a new approach to the relations in the region,” Izetbegovic said. The Bosniak (Muslim) representative in the Bosnian Presidency also revealed that Nikolic had called him personally to invite him to the inauguration, and said this was "a nice message from his side for reconciliation". As stated earlier, Nikolic's inauguration will not be attended by Slovenian President Danilo Turk and Croatian President Ivo Josipovic, while attendance was confirmed by the Serb Republic President Milorad Dodik and Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic.
