Croatia wants to join the EU, but Brussels continues to criticize Zagreb’s discrimination against European investors in Croatia, local media state. According to Croatian news website Poslovni.hr, the EU is concerned by the growing number of complaints from EU companies investing in Croatia. The EU also warns that Croatia is not exporting enough in relation to its imports, and that more investments are needed. Investors are troubled by increased taxes, frequent changes in laws, slow administrations, and the state of the courts, which handle cases too slowly, according to the Croatian news portal.
