Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Tomislav Nikolic has decided to cancel a reception of a Croatian Foreign Ministry delegation. The visit was scheduled for Tuesday, November 29, the SNS said in a statement on Saturday. SNS cancels reception of Croatian delegation “The senior officials of the Serbian Progressive Party have so decided because of the anti-European decision by Croatia's authorities not to allow the SNS delegation, led by Dr Zorana Mihajlovic, to attend a Serb parties' coalition panel discussion in (the eastern Croatian city of) Vukovar,” the statement said. The SNS said it was committed to “peace and stability in the region, respecting the territorial integrity of Croatia, but will never allow the Croatian state to humiliate Serbs and the Serbian citizens just because they have political views than differ from the official Croatian policy.” The SNS noted that it had informed Croatian Ambassador to Serbia Zeljko Kupresak about the cancellation of the reception. A coalition of three Serb parties hoping for three seats in the Croatian parliament held a meeting in Vukovar on Friday, which was not attended by the SNS delegation, as it was returned to the Serbian side of the border due to “security reasons”.
