Vojvodina will open its office in Brussels in the beginning of next year, earlier than originally planned. Agreement on this was reached Friday in Novi Sad by Vojvodina provincial government head Bojan Pajtic and Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic. Vojvodina to open office in Brussels A formal document will be finalized and signed in a near future. The Vojvodina office will be located in the premises of Serbia's mission in Brussels free of charge. The goal of the office is to make preparations for the time when Serbia will get a status of candidate for European Union membership. This should happen in the second half of 2011, and it is important to create by then a mechanism for best use of prospects offered by European funds, Jeremic said.
