UNMIK has rejected Serbian Railways’ request to assume control over lines in northern Kosovo, says the Pristina press. UNMIK official Paul Acda told daily Zeri that UN police representatives had met Serbian Railways officials on Thursday, who had asked for the lines in the north to be transferred to their jurisdiction. “UNMIK did not agree to this,” said Acda. "UNMIK rejects Serbian Railway demands" At the start of the week, former Serb railway workers held a protest, and on Monday morning stopped the Kosovo Polje – Lesak train in Zvecan.
