BELGRADE Serbia’s First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic will hold a press conference on Saturday and inform the public about his participation in the dialogue with Pristina. However, daily Vecernje novosti has unofficially learned that he has already decided not to travel to Brussels on April 2. "Vucic won't participate in next round of talks" According to the daily, the first deputy PM will on Saturday speak about Kosovo. His office has confirmed that he has received an invitation to participate in the next round of the dialogue. The daily has learned that it was more important to Vucic what can be achieved for the Serbian people in the talks than political participants. “The dialogue is held between the two prime ministers and they decide on the members of the delegation. EU High Representative Catherine Ashton has not sent an official invitation to Vucic to participate in the talks but she would be thrilled if the came with (Prime Minister Ivica) Dacic,” Ashton’s Spokeswoman Maja Kocjancic has stated. Media reported on Thursday that the U.S. and the EU wanted Vucic to take part in the next round of the talks that is considered crucial. However, the first deputy PM has requested that German and British foreign ministers take part in the April 2 meeting as an additional guarantee and support. Despite announcements that it will today be known if Vucic would participate in the next round of the dialogue, his office has released that he will hold a press conference at 11:00 CET on Saturday. This will be his first official press conference as the first deputy prime minister. According to announcements, he will talk about Kosovo, results of the combat against corruption and the government’s results in the previous eight months. According to the daily, the first deputy PM will on Saturday speak about Kosovo.

His office has confirmed that he has received an invitation to participate in the next round of the dialogue. The daily has learned that it was more important to Vučić what can be achieved for the Serbian people in the talks than political participants.
