Police arrest bus kidnapper

Serbian police (MUP) say they have a man in custody today, suspected of <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/crimes-article.php?yyyy=2010&mm=03&dd=19&nav_id=65905" class="text-link" target= "_blank">attempting to kidnap</a> a 13-year-old girl from a city bus last week.

Serbian police (MUP) say they have a man in custody today, suspected of attempting to kidnap a 13-year-old girl from a city bus last week. The suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Mendreu Jonel. Police arrest bus kidnapper Jonel has a previous record, but police said it mainly concerns "property-related crime". The kidnapping was thwarted when the girl started crying, alerting a nearby passenger and the bus driver, who came to her rescue.
