BELGRADE Ivica Dacic has said that the arrest of accused cocaine smuggler Darko Saric was "now in the hands of foreign services." The prime minister, who also serves as interior minister, did not want to confirm that Saric was hiding in his native Montenegro, and would not speculate about "the date of his arrest." PM: Foreign services should capture drug lord "Even if it were true about Montenegro, surely I would not tell you so, there has been such information in the previous period, there was information that he was in the region, in South Africa, and even in a country in central Asia," Dacic said. Speaking for the Belgrade-based Pink TV, he would not confirm media reports that Saric would be arrested "in the first six months of this year." "There is a team that deals with it, if he is arrested, it will be a big success," said Dacic. Speaking about Zemun Clan fugitive Luka Bojovic who is in custody in Spain, he said that Serbia has not yet received a response to the request for his extradition. "There is a complaint that was lodged against his extradition, stating he would not be fairly processed, but I expect he will be extradited to Serbia," Dacic said. (Beta) "They don't have to support it" Dacic also reiterated his position voiced yesterday that the agreement on the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina will be applied, although the Serbs in northern Kosovo do not accept it. "The Serbian government has nothing to negotiate with anyone, we have decided to accept this agreement and the agreement will be implemented. It remains only to be seen how to minimize the consequences for the people, for all of us to agree together, but they do not have to support it," he was quoted as saying. According to him, the Serbs in northern Kosovo are no longer in favor of a referendum, "because they know what the result will be, that is, that most of the citizens of Serbia will accept it." Dacic said that the worst option was accept the agreement and not to apply it. "No one has the right to lead this country to further deterioration. The agreement is not aimed against the people, it preserves institutions, work for the Serbs, we did not recognize independence, we did not allow them membership in the UN and the OSCE, now we're also going toward a lasting and final solution, this is a temporary solution," Dacic stated. As "one of the next steps" he mentioned President Tomislav Nikolic's suggestion to use the Law on Substantial Autonomy to allow the future community of Serb municipalities "to become an integral part of the constitutional and legal system of Serbia." Dacic also said that there were currently negotiations conducted by teams in Brussels to discuss the deadlines for the implementation of the agreement, primarily in the part relating to the police and the judiciary.
