RS president: I will try to win another term in office

Republic of Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik has stated that he will run for a another term as a president and that he will try to win.

SARAJEVO Republic of Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik has stated that he will run for a another term as a president and that he will try to win. “We won the elections but we are aware that we can also lose some day. It is a legitimate process in democratic countries. Different stances are presented in political fight,” he told Sarajevo-based TV Face. RS president: I will try to win another term in office Dodik said that it would not be tragic if he lost the elections but that he would fight for victory. “If I do not win, it will not be the end of the world. I am doing my job now and the RS has institutional stability. When you are in politics even meaningless people pay attention to you. Everything that is legitimate is legal and allowed,” he underscored. Speaking about the RS’ right to self-determination, Dodik said that it stemmed from the UN Charter. “This means that the RS can decide independently. Why does not the other part of Bosnia-Herzegovina try to keep us in Bosnia-Herzegovina and show more respect for the RS? I do not hate anyone, I am just a politician and I have my political positions and I am not ruling out any possibility,” the RS president stated. He assessed that certain international organizations in Bosnia-Herzegovina were more influential that some state organs. “Every country needs to have its authentic positions and should not form them on bases of some international factors,” Dodik concluded.
